She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław with a diploma in sculpture in 2000. In 2011, she earned her PhD, and in 2018, a postdoctoral degree in the discipline of fine arts. Since 2006, she has been teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. She extends her artistic practice by organizing events (exhibitions, symposia), conducting culture-building activities as part of her own projects but also for the artistic community of Wrocław and the surroundings.
ARTIST STATEMENT
In my artistic activity I refer primarily to spatial phenomena, not necessarily limited to sculpture. In my works I include sculptural objects as well as film, photography, drawing, light phenomena, situations, gesture, sound and movement. I use various materials: steel, ceramics, fabrics, glass and water. I carry out an open artistic and research project “Sculpture and the Phenomenon of the Stage”. I am interested in the aspect of impermanence, the category of the place and visual events (situations).
