Michał Staszczak (born in 1979 in Wrocław, Poland) studied sculpture at the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław. At present, he leads the Art Foundry at the Academy. He received a PhD degree in fine arts (2012) and became an associate professor in 2019. Staszczak builds furnaces and casts his sculptures in aluminium, bronze or iron. He experiments with 3D printing as well. He leads mould making workshops and metal pours. One of the founders and organisers of the Festival of High Temperatures. He has taken part in numerous exhibitions and his works are in public and private collections.
