She studied at the State School of Fine Arts (currently the Academy of Art and Design) in Wrocław and graduated with a diploma in sculpture under professor Leon Podsiadły in 1988. In the same year she was employed at her alma mater. In 2012, she was awarded the title of Professor of Fine Arts. She was the organizer and curator of several dozen sculpture exhibitions. She has had over a dozen individual exhibitions and participated in over 180 group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Her artworks have been presented and discussed in 82 catalogs, including four monographic publications.

ARTIST STATEMENT

In her artistic activity, Grażyna Jaskierska-Albrzykowska refers to spatial phenomena: sculpture, installation, drawing, photography. They contain a commentary on her feelings towards the existence (duration of various memories) of memories. It is the artist’s reaction to reality and her attempt to understand the current time in the social context, in which she comments on the space with the cycles of sculptures: “Connectors”, “Mszenie”, “Sources of Pure Water” and “Portfolio”.
